You’ve hit the jackpot. That’s how we felt since the day we moved in here. When we started looking to move from Manhattan, we were unfamiliar with New Providence, the town wasn’t even on our radar until we came across 19 Division. Immediately, I knew this house was special.
Within blocks from the train station, Kings Grocery, and the best deli in town – you have everything you need just steps away! A picture perfect exterior; beautifully painted blue house, white shutters, window sill planters – the house had us instantly hooked. The inside is just as inviting. You are immediately greeted by an overwhelming amount of natural light from all sides, which was an important factor for us. This house has 4 finished floors, including a finished basement, great office space/bonus room with wall to wall windows, and a newly finished attic done in 2022. Hardware floors throughout, stainless steel appliances, and an abundance of charm!
We enjoy our summer evenings on the back patio, surrounded by our hydrangeas, BBQing, listening to music, and sharing the occasional drink and catch up with our great neighbors. Winters were just as enjoyable sitting in front of a roaring fire in the living room with our puppy. This house holds many firsts for us – not only was this our first house, but it was also the home where we welcomed our new puppy and more recently our new daughter!
What makes this house extra special is the neighborhood. Firstly, convenience. Being able to walk to the deli for lunch during a busy work week, or grab a breakfast sandwich as we headed out on our Saturday morning dog walk was key! You also have a Kings within walking distance for the inevitable last minute grocery run. As for the neighbors, everyone was so welcoming and friendly when we moved in. We just attended the annual summer block party they host on the street behind our house (Lavina Court). We continue to be blown away about how nice everyone is. It is so nice to not only have neighbors you get along with, but also ones you can count on to grab a package out of the rain for you, or pull in your trash can when you are out of town. This house is really a magnificent place; inside, outside, and all around!
